Jared grew up in the shadow of the funeral home. A 5th generation member of the family owned business, he received his Funeral Director/Embalmer’s license after attending Delgado Community College’s Mortuary Studies in New Orleans, LA. He is also a graduate of Nicholls State University. He is an acting Manager of the funeral home, overseeing the daily management and operation of it. As a licensed funeral director/embalmer, his duties include embalming, funeral arrangements, removals, cosmetics, dressing, casketing, and funeral services. He is married to Michelle Kees. Together, they have 4 children.
Travis has been involved in the funeral business in various capacities since 1996. He graduated in 2001 with a B.S. from LSU in Human Resources Management, in 2003 with an M.B.A. from Nicholls State University, and in 2005 with an A.S in Mortuary Studies from Delgado Community College. He is a licensed funeral director/embalmer and crematory retort operator. In addition, he manages the day to day operations of the funeral home. Travis enjoys the beach, camping, spending time at the lake fishing or boat riding, and spending time with family and friends. He is married to Reagan, who teaches at a local Catholic elementary school in Thibodaux. Together, they have one son, Wyatt.
Stephen grew up in the shadow of the funeral home and began actually working there in 1989. He is also a graduate of Nicholls State University. He is an acting Manager of the funeral home, overseeing the daily management and operation of it. As a licensed funeral director/embalmer, his duties include embalming, funeral arrangements, removals, cosmetics, dressing, casketing, and funeral services. He is husband to Mary Truxillo Kees, and they enjoy traveling, the outdoors, fishing, and the culinary arts.
Sarah has been around the funeral business all of her life as the daughter of Craig Kees, a co-owner of Thibodaux Funeral Home. In high school, she began working at the funeral home during the summers and continued to work in the funeral business after graduating. She took a hiatus in order to attend Nicholls State University and returned to the family business in June 2015, where she now fulfills her duties as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. She enjoys novels, crocheting, and playing with her cat and dog. Since May 2014, she has been married to Brett LaRose.
Beginning as a secretary, Melissa discovered a deep passion for supporting families during their times of grief and loss. This passion led her to further her education at Fletcher Community College to pursue and obtain her license as a Funeral Director. She also works in a management role and as the Community Outreach Director, presenting valuable information to the community about the vital services offered by the funeral home.
Born and raised in Thibodaux, Melissa is a 1996 graduate of Thibodaux High School. She is married to Lance, and together they raised three sons: Seth, Will, and Luke. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys playing golf, antiquing and thrifting with her friends, and spending quality time with family, especially spoiling their grandson, Grayson.
After attending her great-grandmother's funeral at 8 years old, Caroline became curious about the concept of death and funeral ceremonies. Caroline graduated from Belle Chasse High School in 2011, Baton Rouge Community College in 2015 with an Associates in Liberal Arts, and Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service in 2016 with an Associates in Funeral Service with honors. She currently lives in Geismar with her librarian husband Ryan and their cats Wilton and Paul. Caroline enjoys drawing, coloring, and writing.
Born and raised in Houma, LA, Tayler is a 2014 graduate of Central Lafourche High School and a current student at Delgado Community College Mortuary Program. Tayler has been in the funeral industry since October 2022. She has always had a passion for the funeral industry for as long as she can remember. Being able to help grieving families in their time of need is what makes her passion grow stronger. Tayler now lives in Thibodaux, LA with her wife, Lindsey and their two fur babies, Rymmie Lee and Nova Mae. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling to new places, and going bull-red fishing.
Walton Guidry, Jr. (known as “Jr.”) has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for over 40 years. He began his career in the Army during the Vietnam Conflict, when he was assigned to Grave Registration. After his tour of duty, he attended Commonwealth College of Mortuary Science in Houston, TX. He is married to Malvina Guidry, who he has known since elementary school, and they have two children and one grandson. He and Malvina now reside in Thibodaux, but they were both born and raised down Bayou DuLarge. Since he was the oldest of 8 children of a fisherman, Bayou DuLarge will always be his home. He enjoys fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Reed has been a licensed Funeral Director since 1988. He retired in 2016 from the Berwick Police Department as a Patrolman and joined our team in 2021. He has been married to his wife Glenda for 48 years and they have a son and a daughter and 4 grandchildren.
Kristy was born, raised, and resides in Thibodaux, LA. She graduated from Thibodaux Hight School in 1998 and later continued her education at Nicholls State University studying Family and Consumer Science. After obtaining her Louisiana Life Insurance preneed license, Kristy joined the Thibodaux Funeral Home family as a preneed counselor.
In her spare time, Kristy enjoys spending time with her family. She also enjoys cooking and traveling. She proudly serves the community as a board member of Thibodaux Main Street in Downtown Thibodaux.
Returning to the funeral home in 2020, Lesley handles all day-to-day activities in the office for the Thibodaux, Labadieville, and Napoleonville locations. She and her husband Wade have one daughter.
A graduate of Terrebonne High School and Nicholls State University, Michelle has been in funeral services since 2010. She fulfills the responsibilities of Office Assistant/Secretary. Her personal interests include reading and baking. Married to Jared Kees, they have 4 children together.
Jerry has been in funeral services since 1992. His duties include facility and grounds maintenance, removals, funeral assistant, and he is also a Licensed Crematory Operator. A graduate of Hahnville High School, Jerry enjoys fishing, swimming, sports, and spending time with his family.
