Landry's Funeral Home Company History

Prior to 1888, T.X. Landry, founder of Landry’s Funeral Home, owned and operated a wheelwright shop in Labadieville, LA. Families would often bring him lumber and measurements, requesting that he build coffins for their loved ones. This eventually led to his opening a funeral home in Labadieville, LA in 1888. Throughout the years, his funeral home prospered, and in 1925, T.X. Landry and Sons was established. He then expanded his business, in 1937, and purchased the first funeral home in Thibodaux, LA, where we remain to this day on Canal Blvd. Another funeral home was built in Napoleonville, LA in 1948. The business was incorporated in 1961, and the name was changed to its present name: Landry’s Funeral Home, Inc.

A five generation, family-owned and operated funeral home, we are honored by the privilege of providing you with the dignified funeral services you deserve when remembering and memorializing those you have cherished in life. Our family, along with our skilled professional staff, is dedicated to serving Lafourche Parish and its surrounding parishes with dignified, compassionate loyalty and professionalism.
